July 31, 2014 Another card to welcome the new baby

It has been a lot of fun making new baby cards for my stepson and his wife.  I thought it would be fun to make another card to give them. My granddaughter is 22 now, so I am so excited that there is a baby now.  My husband can now say he has a granddaughter too.
I used a Stampabilities stamp that I have had for years.  I guess I knew the little footprints would come in handy eventually!!!! The Sweet Baby sentiment is from Gina K Designs and I added them both to GKD pink CS that I embossed with a  CB Swiss Dots folder, and added to a base of white cardstock.  A little touch of ribbon and a mini button finished this one on a scrap of striped paper from my desktop stash.

I hope this card will be treasured as I think it should be put in the baby's mementos, to look at years from now. Don't you agree?

                                                              Welcome little Kayla!

Wed. 07-16-2014 You're Awesome

This was was made yesterday, using a GKD stamp that was on my craft table. All items used are Gina K. Designs except for the ribbon embellishment. I had stamped and colored this image months ago and decided to make this card using it, and popping it up on Navy CS, after I sponged it with ink.I am so glad you stopped by for a visit today!

A Challenge for STV14MON29

I decided the play in a challenge on StampTV today.  The challenge was to use clouds.  So here is my card, for STV14MON29.
Karen Hightower came up with a wonderful challenge for us, don't you agree?

I sponged the sky with Gina K Design's Powder Blue ink.  I used Grass Green ink from Gina K, at the card bottom.  The plant elements were from Theresa Momber's Vertical Greetings set, as was the dragon fly.  I cut the clouds out of white CS using my Vagabond and Spellbinder cloud dies.
The sentiment was also from Theresa's Vertical Greetings, which I stamped and popped up on cs, that was sponged on the edges.  Thank you for stopping by to check out my challenge card!

Paper Pieced Fabulous Frames

Here is a fun card that I made using Melanie's stamp set called Fabulous Frames.  I did some paper piecing on this, using GKD cardstock and patterned paper too.  I  added both of her butterflies, that I stamped and then colored with Copics,  and added a silk flower from my drawer.

I am pretty sure I just forgot to post this one last week, so I hope you enjoy looking at it!  See you next time.

Sun and Moon

Did you see the "stars" I added?  They are really diamond like crystals, of course. I colored the moon with colored  pencils and added a few touches of Diamond Stickles. The moon was fussy cut and attached to a piece of lighter blue scrap that was on my desk.  Because I wanted the navy CS to resemble the night sky, I kept this card design pretty CAS.

Heavenly Harmony

I colored this fabulous image with Copic Markers, and fussy cut that sun, and popped it up to add the dimension.  I placed it on navy cardstock, to imitate the night sky.  I added some Stickles to the faces for shine. I added a piece of Dotted Swiss cardstock that I ran through my Vagabond machine and a CB folder.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed the hop.  The stamps were really fun to work with this month, as they always are.

I heat embossed the Snowflake, before I added the button and twine.  The sentiment was stamped on a strip of CS and edged with Distress Ink.  Surprisingly, this card went together so quickly since I added all the embellies to a card base, that I have had for years.  It is rather warm out, but I seemed to stay cool as I made a holiday card using this stamp set! Please stop back tomorrow to see the other stamp sets that are being released!
