3. 1. 2018 MOD Squad Challenge

The MOD Squad Challenge is to have a bunny or chick as the focal point.  Well, I have 2 of each to satisfy my focal point!  Waiting for Spring, Easter and warmer weather inspired my design for this card.

Thank you for stopping by.

Wed. 2.28.2018 The End of February- Hope you are healing!

Are you as happy to see the end of this month?  Spring will be here before we know it---fingers crossed!  I have quite a few friends that this card would be welcomed to receive  this, by any of them.  So many incidents happened this year!

So glad you stopped by for a visit!

Mon. Feb. 26, 2018 Maybe a Party?

Today would have been a 70th Anniversary for my parents, but sadly they divorced after 30 years.  My Dad passed quite some time ago but Mom, - lives with Alzheimer's in a Senior Facility, at 87 years old.
I created this card as a Happy Party card, just to make us all smile. No stamping involved- just die cut bows from lots of colored card.

Thank you for visiting my blog today!

Sun. Feb.25, 2018 Sympathy card with Trees

I just love this tree stamp from Gina K. Designs.  I found it works perfectly for Sympathy cards, and I have learned to have them ready- for when I least expect to send one. It makes things so much easier than having to make one-when sadness is in your heart. Keep a couple handy to send for those last minutes Sympathy wishes.  This seems to work as a very simple design, that expresses my feelings rather well.

Sun. 3.25.2018 Lattice and Tulle

I came up with this design yesterday using the flowers from the Merry and Bright set, in blue instead of Christmas colors.  I wanted this thank you card to look more Spring Like!  The soft colors really work to create this card, that added to all the texture going on.

Sat., FEB2018 Challenge-- Take a Peek

I made these two cards yesterday.  The 1st was another with the Shaving Cream technique and a Die cut sentiment to finish up the card front.

The 2nd card was for FEB2018 Challenge from The Gina K Release party, Thursday night. I die cut the trees from the Merry and Bright Kit and popped it up on a background of white CS and a little bit of black.  The only color is that little punched and colored star.  It is so much fun to work with a stamp with a matching die.

I like that it is black and white and will come in handy as a Get Well card.  Seems like quite a bit of illness going around this winter, right?

Fri. 2.23.2018 Tree Thank You

I found this tree, that has been on my desk for years.  It was cut  on my Silhouette Cameo a long time ago, and I saved it.  I added the sentiment that was a Spellbinder cut and covered with Gina K. crystalline drops, to add shine and dimension.  This design is simple, but I think it grabs your attention.  At least I hope so.

A  4.5 " square, really works for this simple card!   Let me know, please.

2.22.2018 Another Lattice Creation

I had so much fun making the other one, and I wanted to make this one today.  I really like the look of this card, even though it is a little fragile.

The flowers are actually from the Merry and Bright Gina K. Christmas kit.  The poinsettias look quite different when stamped with pink ink and a small amount of  Stickles are added to the flower centers.
Much more Spring like and I am definitely ready for that! Thank you for visiting my blog!  I read all comments, and am thankful for any you leave!

Wed. 2-21-2018 Two for Today

I finished up making two cards today.  The shaving cream one was started yesterday and finished this afternoon. Then I went ahead and using the lattice pieces that I die cut, I got pretty creative with the floral card.  I hope you let me know your thoughts, ok?

Two totally different cards to see today.

2.20.2018 A Shaving Cream Background

After watching Gina daughter's video using shaving cream, I just had to make a card.  I hadn't done this technique in many years, and you should try it.  It is so much fun!

 I made another as well!

2.19.2018 F4A417 Challenge- Go West

Here is my card for F4A417 Go West, using Theresa Momber's "Out West" stamp set, from Gina K. Designs. I colored with Copics after stamping the image with Memento.

Mon. Feb. 19, 2018 To Brighten a Gloomy Day

I played around this morning and using this patterned paper and adding a silk flower made me have a happier time on a gloomy day, here in Wisconsin.  Maybe the sun is shining in your neck of the woods!

Friday, Feb. 9, 2018 We got a lot of snow!

More than 8" of snow fell last night.  It sure looks different than yesterday morning. It is definitely a crafting day as I have no intention of driving anywhere today!

Here are my latest creations from yesterday, that has me wishing for Spring time.

So glad you stopped for a peak.

Wed. 2.7.2018 Two for Today

I made two cards today, one for the MOD Squad challenge and one for the Split Coast SC683 Sketch.

Thinking this is the best thing about a snowy day and you are inside staying warm and crafting!

Here are those 2 cards!  I took out my Royal Sovereign, to do some foiling.  It has been quite a while and I wanted to make sure I could still do it.  So happy that it worked out beautifully.  I have read that many of you were having issues.  I did let the unit preheat for about 30 minutes, and I did run my foils through 2-3 times to be sure it was doing a good job!

Take your time, and be patient!

Tues. 2-6-2018 Hubby's Birthday today -SC681

Today would have been my late Hubby's birthday, so I created this card in his memory with many hearts.  I used sketch SC681 from Split Coast Stampers, which I turned to be horizontal. I added rhinestone gems to the hearts, because he was the light of my life, and will always have my heart.

Sat. Feb. 3. 2018 Black & White Fun

  Happy Saturday,

I was playing with all sort of scraps, ribbons and a image from the Frisky Felines stamp set from Gina K and Alicia Krupsky and came up with this card.  The cat images in this set are so much fun to work with.

Fri. Feb. 2, 2018 Quilted Fun

Today, I met someone that quilts, and I thought she'd get a kick out of receiving this card. Her husband is the fabulous technician that has kept our computers running smoothly for years.  I mailed it today so she will get it before Saturday, I hope.

I embossed the background with a favorite Cuttle Bug folder that I have had a very long  time.  The giraffe was colored with Copics and fussy cut, so I could pop it up with dimensionals. The image is from the Gina K Design "Genevieve Giraffe" stamp set by Beth Silaika.

Thank you for visiting and please leave me a comment, ok?

Thurs. 2.1.2018 SC682 Sketch

This is what I came up with following the Sketch 682 Challenge on Split Coast Stampers.  https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/attachments/card-sketches-f41/333229d1517363439-sc682cc13118b.jpg

I used images from the Gina K Designs Stately Flowers 10 by Melanie Muenchinger.  The sentiment was from the Cottage Garden by Claire Brennan for Gina K.  I hung those little butterflies with pieces of wire, after I fussy cut the butterflies.

Thank You for visiting and taking a look today!
