Lots of texture embossed with a Darice Diagonal Stripe folder against a dark green base, with gold bows and and Birthday Wish, for this A2 card, made a simple but stunning card!

6.20.2018 SplitCoast Coffee and Summer colors

The challenge was "coffee and summer colors" to decorate your card and I think I actually got it done, right? My fussy cut cup of coffee was from a Gina K Designs set called Love You from 2014.

This card was made to play in the Splitcoast F4A434 challenge  Free For All "Vacation View". I used Claire Brennan's stampset from Gina K. Designs called "My Island"  which was perfect for a vacation themed card, right?

6-5-2018 MM62018 Challenge

The challenge was "gray" and I did just that, right?   I have always liked cards like this because I find them so soothing and hope the recipient will also. This is for MM62018 at StampTV.

Sat. Jun. 2, 2018 Love these colors

I was motivated to make another card, and finished it up so I could now post it. Lots of  3 D texture going on here, and the plaid paper is the one I made using Gina's instructions. Actually was easier than I thought it would be and I am pleased with the final result!

I sure hope you are having a great weekend.  Weather here in Wisconsin has been fabulous. So nice not to run the A/C or the furnace.  That leaves me more $ to buy stamps and card stock- hahaha

I was playing in my craft room today and enjoying this first day of June.  A little cool, but very sunny outside today! 

Tues. 5.29.2018 Feel Better

I was playing in my craft room yesterday and decided to create a Feel Better card, using this floral stamp from long ago and after fussy cutting them I put them on a piece of card stock that I ran through a Crackle embossing folder from Darice .  I love all the texture it adds to the background. The flowers were colored with a variety of Copic markers.

5.28.2018 F4A431 and CAS471 Challenges

Today is Memorial Day - the sun is shining and I was so motivated to make this card!
This card fulfills the need of the following two challenges.  The first is F4A431 to use red and yellow- the colors of mustard and ketchup. It also works for the clean and simple card using a color base. CAS471 at Splitcoast Stampers.

Sun. May 27, 2018 One Layer Card #372

Here is the card I made for the One Layer Challenge #372, at Less is More.   This was very different for me to make, since layers and 3D cards are my usual go to style.  I have to admit, that this was a lot of fun to make! 

The flowers and leaves are from Gina K Design's "Made with Love" stamp set from a couple of years ago. I sponged that around that strip of white space, to make sure that the sentiment would really show up.

5.20.2018 A Stencil Memory

I made this card for my eldest stepson, using a Gina K Design stencil.  Red white and blue was a very special memory of my late husband- his dad. My husband's birth country also had the colors of red, white and blue, just like the USA.
