I made two quilt inspired cards  late yesterday.  I added some little animals for fun.  I have a sweet neighbor friend that makes beautiful quilts, with fabulous fabric, and I hope she will like the paper ones I have made for these cards!

Of course her quilts are much more colorful.  Thanks for stopping by . If you can comment a Happy Birthday to me today, I would be so grateful!  They sure seem to come around faster and faster, than when I was younger!

These two cards would be great as masculine cards, for any occasion you might need.   Happy Birthday, Congrats, or even Thinking of You. Just add your sentiment on the inside, when you are ready to give it to them.  Many people say they have trouble creating masculine cards, but it seems pretty easy for me.

4.21.2019 Happy Easter

Today is Easter and I wanted to make this card today using the new embossing folder that was a gift from my daughter, for my birthday. It is a Sizzix Texture. I decided to use it for the challenge from Just Us Girls .

Here is my card. I just love all the texture! The leaves were die cut and then colored with Copics.

 I colored the cat with Copics and popped up the oval with dimensionals, after I sponged a little ink on the edges.

I was playing in my Craft Room today and came up with this card that would be perfect as an Anniversary card.  I used an image that I was gifted and colored it with Copics.  The sentiment banner is from Gina K. Designs.

 I turned this on its side but the sketch still works.  The cats are from Gina K. Designs Alicia's Frisky Felines stamp set.

Wed. April 10, 2019 Another "Irish" Influenced Friend Card

I needed to make a shaped card for the Split Coast F4A476 Challenge.  I attached two scalloped ovals and then decorated and sponged the front of the card.  I glittered the shamrocks and tied some gold cord into a bow. A gem was added for additional sparkle.

Sunday, 4.7. 2019 Celebrating my Alma Mater

I will be visiting with a dear friend from high school, so of course this card was created!

 Can you tell we went to St. Patrick Academy?  It was a very special school and where we were in the last graduating class, before the school closed and was torn down.  We all have so many memories that we still talk about--this year we will be celebrating our 50th Reunion.

The word this week is at Just Us Girls #482  and since it is houses and I decided on a LIGHTHOUSE.  I stamped  By the Sea by Theresa Momber at Gina K. Designs. I think this one will work for either a masculine or feminine gift.

Here is the card I made for SC743 at Split Coast Stampers .

 

 Quite a wonderful sketch to use up lots of scraps, I believe! I glittered the die cut heart and added some die cut bows too. I will add a sentiment when its time to send the card!

Fri. 4-5-2019 A Country View

Here is a card I made yesterday but forgot to post it.  Enjoy this one, ok?

I colored with pencils, sponged the sky and backed the image and sentiment with Navy GKD card stock!  I used dimensionals to pop up the sentiment.

  Here is a simple card I made yesterday that can be used for many occasions, and could be either a masculine or feminine card, right?  I think this would be perfect to send with all your latest news, perhaps to a relative that lives a distance away!

Fri. 3.29.2019 Alcohol Ink Background

After I watched Jennifer McGuire's post today I wanted to try using my alcohol inks, that haven't been used in years.   I decided to play in my craft room to see what I would come up with.

Here is that card. 

This was definitely a lot of fun and I really liked the way it turned out.  What do you think?  Please let me know.

Sunday March 24, 2019 Love how this turned out

I used the cut out from the Spellbinder Scallop oval I used yesterday to frame the sentiment form Gina K.'s set called Thankful and Blessed. I sponged the frame with some blue ink and added a few strips of Navy cs to add a little more dimension, after I popped the whole thing up a bit.

Sat. 3.23.2019 Time to Play Yesterday so posting now

Since I had time to play in my craft room yesterday,  I came up with this card. I added an oval of white inside the card  so it would make it easier to write a little note on the purple card stock and sign it.

 I used this Spellbinder Elegant Oval die I bought from Gina K. Designs, for the card front and a Stacking Nesting Spellbinder die that I have had for a long time. The little bows are die cut from a GKD Party die set that has been around for a long time as well.
