Sun., August 30, 2015 A Birthday Smile

I used Melanie's Fabulous Frame and Gina's Happy Birthday to You stamp sets, by coloring with my Copics and popping up the center oval, which was put on a scalloped oval die cut. This was a relatively easy card to put together that will work for either gender and any age, really!

Thank you for visiting!

Sat., 8-29-2015 Another GKD Sunflower birthday card

Simple coloring of the flower from Melanie's Stately Flowers 5, that was fussy cut, and popped up on a softly sponged bg , with  a touch of brown cs as the ground for my flower, made for a CAS birthday card with a simple greeting.

Happy that you came by to see what I had for you today.

Friday 8-28-2015 Mix of GKD and La Blanche

I used Gina K Design's With Sympathy sentiment with the floral bg called Wild Flowers from La Blanche, with some added ribbon for a simple sympathy card to have on hand.

So glad you stopped by today!

8-27-2015 Sympathy Card

This was a LaBlanche stamp that I played with using Brown ink on Fresh Asparagus CS from GKD.  I added the sentiment from GKD on a Scalloped Spellbinder Oval, backed by the same in a larger size,  with brown CS.  Just a simple Sympathy to have when needed, because it is good to have them ready for when you least expect to send one!

Thank you for stopping by today.

Today I am sharing a square 4.25" card with a masculine flavor , that I will also enter into the challenge STV15MON34 at StampTV. The leaves and the sentiment are both from GKD stamp sets.
I am so glad you stopped by for a visit!

8-24-2015 Masculine Challenge for STV

I entered this card for the Masculine Challenge at StampTV.  I used some camouflage printed paper as a base and shades of camo colored CS from GKD, along with the stamps from the  Happy Birthday to You set.  The presents were stamped with Cream ink on Brown CS, then fussy cut.

I entered this into the STV15MON34 challenge -a very military looking creation!
Thanks for taking a peek!

8-22-2015 Getting ready for Christmas

I whipped up this card today using rub ons and card stock.  No coloring this time but it was still fun to make!  The sentiment was a stamp, given to me by a neighbor! Easy creation for today.

Thanks for stopping by!

Here is one I made yesterday, but didn't post.

Today was a long day.  My sister picked me up, then we picked up our Mom, so we could get to the salon.  Then our to lunch, followed by an ice cream treat, before we headed home.  Sure glad this happens only about every 6 weeks!
Thanks for visiting.

8-15-2015 STV15MON32 Challenge

This is a card I entered for a challenge on Wednesday, that Cat posted.  We were to use black, kraft, and white as our colors.  I immediately thought of these puppies, and there wasn't any coloring involved in making this card. Easy peasy, for sure.  I used the PawPrints folder from Cuttlebug to give the background on black CS some texture.

Thurs., August 13, 2015 Retiform ala Theresa Momber

I watched Theresa's video about the retiform technique, so I decided to try it this morning,  I made a 4.5" square care so it can still fit in a A2 envelope.  I used Peach Bellini ink with a touch of yellow in the background.  The flowers were stamped and fussy cut before I colored them with Copics. As you can see I used Spellbinder squares for the background, before I sponged with Innocent Pink and yellow inks.

Thank you for stopping by to check this out today!

Wed., August 12, 2015 Embossed Birthday

This was an easy CAS card that only used a sentiment from The Wetland set, and an embossing folder than I ran through my Vagabond machine. A neutral birthday card, that would be good for a guy or a gal.  I added a silk flower to soften the look somewhat.

Thanks for taking a peek today!

8-11-2015 MOD SQUAD Gatefold Challenge

This is a gate fold card I made for the MOD Squad Challenge on 8-5-2015.  It has been ages since I made one of these and it was a lot of fun to create.  I used  a butterfly from Gina K.'s Warm Winter Wishes stamp set.  The strawberry DP is also from GKD.  I used Copics to color that sweet butterfly.

Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015 Mixed Floral Birthday

Well the background stamp is from LaBlanc and has been on my desktop for many years. The image in the front is from GKD and I heat embossed with gold detail EP.  The sentiment is from Theresa Momber's The Wetlands stamp set.  A little bit of GKD ribbon balances this card out.  There is a base of Kraft CS from GKD to tie it all together.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Sat. 8-8-2015 To Cool You Off Today

I love this little GKD Snowman. I used mostly white CS here, which was CB embossed.  I cut the snow mound by hand and then sponged gently with blue ink.  The little guy was gently colored with Copic markers.  I added a touch of sparkly ribbon in the "snow" and then this card was finished.

I appreciate your visit!

Friday August 7th, 2015 A Simple Plaid Beauty

This one would make a great card for a guy but works for women too.  Fall colors and leaves with a touch of ribbon finish off this creation!

So glad you came to peek!

Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015 Lovely GKD Sunflower

Isn't this a gorgeous sunflower?  A sweet gift from a friend, that I colored with Copics, and then I mounted the panel on two different shades of brown CS.  I added the little tag and twine, for interest!

Here is another creation, that I made yesterday, and I used the Shine On stamp set, from GKD.
I think that little duck is just adorable, don't you?

So glad you stopped by today.

Wed. August 5, 2015

I made this card back on 7-30, while waiting for a wonderful visit from Barb Campbell.  We spent hours over lunch and gabbing, but no card making!!!!  It was a fun and a gorgeous day to get to know a new friend.
Thanks for visiting to see this card today!

Tues., August 4, 2015 Birthday Make a Wish

Today I have a Birthday card to share with you.  The big sentiment is from my stash and I have no idea where I got it so many years ago  All the other images are from Melanie Muenchinger's Candles on your Cake set from Gina K Designs.  All the card stock and also the patterned paper are GKD, as well. After I colored the cupcake tops with Copic markers, I added a touch of Wink of Stella, for some sparkle.  Too bad it didn't show up in the photo.

Thank you for visiting today.  I actually made this card on July 29th, but didn't have room to put it on my blog until today!

Here is one I whipped up very early yesterday morning on Monday Aug. 3rd, using a sentiment from Melanie's Triple Play Frame., against a couple of heart punches and CB Dotted Swiss CS from GKD. I framed those hearts with a Spellbinder CS circle, that was sponged with black ink.

  Thanks for peeking.

Monday, August 3, 2015 You've Got Style times two

I have two cards for you today using Gina K Design's You've Got Style stamp set.  I was lucky to win this set, so here are a couple of cards I made today.

They both were colored with my Copics and the images that were stamped with Memento Black Ink actually followed a pattern  so these cards will eventually be in a set, as a gift perhaps!

Thank you for stopping by today!

One is my first Christmas creation for this year, followed by one that has a lot of flower images on the DP.
