Monday, July 31, 2017 Daisy Hello

Wow, it is the last day of July already! This summer has sure progressed quickly. I hope you are enjoying it!

I fussy cut this gorgeous daisy from the Gina K. Design, Fill it with Flowers Stamp Set by
Melanie Muenchinger from May 2016.  The banner and "hello" are from the Party die set from GKD also.

I sat and relaxed while cutting out the flower and then I added some Copic colored leaves that I cut from Melanie's set too.  Thank you for stopping by today and taking a look at this simple card on a busy printed piece of designer paper that I have had for a super long time. Enough space was left at the top of the card so I can add the recipient's name just before I send it off.

July 29, 2017 Get Well - Bike and Flowers

I had this bike already cut out from Gina K. Sentimental Summer kit and it was sitting on my desk so I thought I'd create another Get Well card today.  I colored the image with Copic markers, and did some sponging to create the background. I popped parts up with dimensional and mounted on some lavender CS before I finished my card.

I am very happy to share this card with you and would appreciate any comments you leave for me.

7.27.2017 Dream Big Elephant

Here is a "Dream Big" Elephant card with a matching envelope.  I stamped the image from a Gina K. Designs image, by Beth Silaika. It was colored with Copics and his banner was fussy cut and slipped behind his ear a bit, which was lifted up a bit.  The image was put on a separate panel and also lifted up with pop dots.
The bright designer paper mad for a bright background to make you smile!

The envie was lined with matching paper to make this interesting !

Thank you for visiting today.

Tuesday, July 25, 2017 Black Magic Technique

Here is the card I made after I re- watching Melanie's video of the Black Magic Technique.  It has been a long time since I did one of these, so I thought I'd give it a go again.

Go to StampTV- Gina K. Designs to find the video and give it a whirl if you have never done this before.  So much fun!

So happy you visited and I am hoping to read any comments you leave for me.

Mon., July 24, 2017 Staying Cool Inside

It is unbelievably hot and humid out today, so it is a great day to stay in my air conditioned craft room- and play.

This card is one I made to pass the time, use some scraps of paper, ribbon, a button, etc.  I like the fact this would be good for either gender- an all purpose birthday card! Ha

Glad you came by to see what I had for you today. Hope you are staying cool also.

Sun., July 23, 2017 For my son, the photographer

I used the Vintage Camera die, with a banner die and Celebrate wish from Theresa Momber's stamp set called French Flair.  I decided to make this card for my son, and hoping he will love this card, as much as I do.  Some stick on brads were added for interest, after I used the wood grain paper in the background.

Have a great day and if it is hot where you live- stay cool!

Sat., July 22, 2017 Time to Dream

I decided to use this Cheery Lynn die to make the banner and added the word Dream from the Gina K. Design's French Flair set by Theresa Momber.  Using a BG of woodgrain printed paper and an added circle to make the sun, after I colored that cottage with Copic markers.  Some additional sponging for the sky and grass finished this card.

Thank you for stopping by to visit.

Friday, July 21, 2017 A Colorful HELLO

The Massive sentiment from Gina K. was actually the focal point making this Hello card a bright way to say hi.

I had a lot of fun putting all the elements together as I hope the recipient will find this one to be a happy message! The die cut flower has been on my desk for years and was so happy to be able to make it work for this card.

The background was made with many strip of CS- did you think it was printed paper?
I appreciate any comments you wish to leave, letting me know your thoughts about this card.

Thurs., July 20, 2017 Wine Anyone?

I was playing yesterday and realized it has been some time since I used Theresa Momber's French Flair Stamp set from Gina K. Designs.  I decided on this card to give to a wine drinking friend of wine.  I hope she will like it.  I was pleased with how it turned out and so glad that I was able to make the wine look liquid.  Ya think? I used both the large and small grape images as well.  The glass of wine was popped up with pop dots to add dimension and would make things more interesting, I hope.

Thank you for taking a peak at my card today.

7.19.2017 Mod Squad Challenge---Layered Flowers

The leaves were from a die from Spellbinders to add to these flowers, that were also die cut.  I colored some of the elements with Copics and also Zig watercolors.  The sentiment was from Gina K. Designs "All About You" mini stamp set from about a year ago.
I added some glitter to a few of the flower centers, for sparkle. I made sure there was texture scored into the card base too.  Lots of texture here!

Thank you for visiting!

Wed. 7.19.2017 Sketch STV17MON29

I made this one for the sketch challenge STV17MON29 at Gina K. Designs. The sentiment was from the Scripty Sayings 2 stamp set.  The flower was die cut and I added the gem in the center. The ribbon pulls its color from the designer paper flowers.  Thank you for visiting.

7.18.2017 A Get Well Square Wish

I have a 5" square card to show you today.  I am waiting for some visitors, and had the time to play in my craft room.  I made the focal point with Gina K. Scripty Sayings 2 to make this Get Well card.
It is always a good idea to have some of these cards, for when the occasion presents itself. I just love the little tiny beads I put on that piece of double stick Sookwang tape across the top of the card, after I lightly sponged it with Distress ink. Some silk flowers with brads, finished this creation!
Enjoy your day!

Mon., July 17, 2017 Whale with a Stencil Background

Here is another fun card using the Whale Image from Gina K. and Designer, Beth Silaika.
It is a set called Karen Dolphin.  I stenciled the background with the Water Droplets one from Gina K. Designs.

These water themed cards that I have been coming up with are such a relaxing card to look at during these summer months, right? Even though I am no where near an ocean.  Maybe that is why I enjoy making them.

Thank you for taking a peek!

Sunday, July 16, 2017 Happy Hello in Black and White

A masculine card or actually could be for a lady, if you wanted.  Black and White with an added gem makes this a great HELLO to send along.

I was playing with my latest STV kit, so this is what I came up with, this afternoon.

Thanks for stopping by....

Saturday, July 15, 2017 Christmas in July

The STV17MON28 Challenge at STAMPTV was to make something for Christmas in July.

I used the Gina K. Designs Christmas Greenery stamp set as well as the Scripty Sayings set.  Used white embossing powder on the trees, with some Liquid Pearls to make the berries on the trees. Silver card stock for the BG made this sure look wintery. A gem next to the sentiment pulled this design and made it all ready for Christmas now.

Thanks for visiting!

Fri., July 14, 2017 Flowers for Hope

I pulled out this Gina K. Designs stamp set that I got back in May 2014. I used a CB folder to create the background texture, colored with Copics and added a few pearls to balance things out.  My image was stamped with dark chocolate Gina K  ink.

So happy you stopped by for a peek at my latest creation.

7.14.2017 Patterned Papers Sketch

Using Karen's sketch at StampTV, and using patterned papers, I came up with this card.  I added some silk flowers and a gem along with other details to create this card. The designer papers are from a few different GKD paper packs.
Karen's sketch is below the card I made, so you can see if I followed her drawing.

7.14.2017 Mod Squad Focal Point Sentiment

Here is another card I made for the Mod Squad Challenge, that shows a Focal Point Sentiment. I stenciled the background and used a sentiment from Gina K. Designs.  A ribbon and a flower tied it all together, for a soft look.

Thurs., July 13, 2017 Stop and See the Fence

There were sure lots of tiny little flowers and leaves surround this fence image by Claire Brennan and Gina K. Designs, to color.
It was tedious coloring all the blooms, but I was happy with how this turned out. Adding the "Hello " sentiment made this a perfect card to give my new neighbors.

I appreciate you visiting my blog today.

July 12, 2017 Splitcoast SC653 Sketch

This card was made for the Splitcoast SC653 Challenge.  I used a stamp set from Gina K. Designs to make this Special Day card.  Copics, and fussy cutting made this a cheerful card, for that Special Day.

I am having a good time making more cards, just like I used to.  Slowly getting back into the groove.

Thank you for visiting!

I played with my new Gina K Design stencil to create an ocean- like background for the Dolphin, etc. that I fussy cut.  What a fun card to make someone's day.

7-6-2017 Underwater View

Here is what I made with the Karen Dolphin Stamp Set from Gina K. Designs.  A fun set that I just bought and it will be so useful to make cards for the grandchildren, and other little ones as well!

A Cuttlebug folder gave me a terrific background for the sea life and my Copics added the needed color and some fussy cutting got them into the "ocean".

Thank you for visiting!

July 5, 2017 STV17MON27- Challenge at StampTV

Black- White and Gold Challenge STV17MON27.  Cat challenged us, I had just had to play along.

I used one of the Cupcake Images, from Sweet Thing, by Claire Brennan, from STV, and some new black and white striped DP from my last STV Kit.
The CS, cord and ribbon were from my stash.

Thank you for visiting.  I love to read your comments!

Monday, July 3, 2017 Another GKD JUNE RELEASE Challenge

3 images once again, and I decided on a Christmas card.  I used the Dashing stamp set by Theresa Momber, from Gina K. Designs. I scored the Kraft CS background, and cut the mounds of snow, which were lightly sponged with blues to create the look of snow.

Hope you are having a great Holiday weekend!

Sunday, July 2, 2017 Sentimental Journey

After I fussy cut this image from the Gina K. Designs Sentimental Summer, the bicycle image seemed like it should be on a CAS card. Such a fabulous image didn't need a lot of other stuff beside a sentiment.  Enjoy....

  Have a safe Holiday weekend!

Saturday, July 1, 2017 Another Early Christmas Card

I am starting my Christmas in July with this adorable Moose and Cardinals that were fussy cut and placed all over this background splatter , that I made by flicking my brush loaded with paint all over a piece of kraft GKD cardstock and then mounted on a piece of white CS and a base of GKD Red CS.
I placed a piece of white on the inside, for my sentiment.

I appreciate you visiting!
