Thurs. 12-27-2018 WT720 Stitching, Faux Stitching

I made this card to enter into the Splitcoaststampers  WT720 challenge to show some sort of stitching in our creation.  I made a New Year Wish using an image from GKD that I heat embossed with silver EP along with the sentiment in Platinum Embossing powder.  I included a small touch of card stock in Christmas colors, to tie in the holiday colors.

After I made this card, I couldn't help but think of Florida and Oranges!

Mon. 12.10.2018 It's Elmo

Here is the Elmo card I made at a friend's request.  So much fun creating this. I sure hope that her granddaughter will like it.
 I looked at a picture for my inspiration and used a scalloped circle Spellbinder die to create this card, a some circle dies for the eyes and nose.  Let me know what you think of this shaped card!

 Both my sister and my daughter have birthdays this month.  Always a little problem for them because Christmas was so close to their days.  Our family always tried our best to keep those days separate!  Birthday cards were always different than Christmas cards too.

Here is the second one I made -for F4A459. Go for the Gold.  I used gold glitter for the chips on this cookie!

12.7.2018 MOD Challenge

 I created this one for the MOD Challenge - build a wreath.  This one was made with a particular guy in mind.  He is a wonderful person that has built many things for us over many years, and kept the house running smoothly.. I tease him that he is my brother from another mother!   A 20 year friendship that continues still. He and his family have become the extended family we have looked for.

I had a great time whipping up this wintry card using the Delicate Snowflakes stamp set from Gina K. Designs with some white ink on navy card stock. The reindeer stamp was a freebie that I received and I wanted to add it to the Gina K. Snowflake background stamp.

Th. 11.29.2018 MOD Squad Challenge

The challenge this time is to use a critter on our creation.  Here is mine.  Three critters using an image from Gina K.'s Spring Fling stamp set, by Beth Silaika.  I colored these little critters with Copic markers.  Some grosgrain ribbon and a sentiment finished this card, to have a Happy Hoppy.

11.24.2018 Birthday Tag

I needed to make a birthday tag for Seize the Birthday Challenge.  I needed to make this one for someone who has their birthday and Christmas the same week!  So I combined the 2 occasions. The penguin was colored with Copics and fussy cut. Little sentiments made it a Merry Birthday tag!

  I masked the background before I added the shamrocks and the sentiment.

Tues. 11.20. 2018 Happy B-Day to my Grand!

         

   Today is my granddaughter's 27th birthday. The time has flown by, and she has grown so quickly.   She lives out of state and I sure miss seeing her! I am hoping for her to visit soon! Here is a card I made in her honor.

11.19. 2018 J.U.G.S. 467 Color Week Challenge

Here is my card for the Color Challenge at J.U.G.S. 467.  to use yellow, orange and turquoise! I made a non traditional Christmas card.  The colors are bright and totally not Red and Green.  The ornament is on a die cut frame, that I cut out with  my Big Sister machine from Cheery Lynn.  I colored the ornament with Copics after I cut it out.

Fri. 11.16. 2018 'Tis the Season

 I came up with a Christmas card today, since 1" of snow put southern Wisconsin in the spirit of the season this morning. It sure didn't last long though as almost everything has melted already.  I heard that a little more snow is expected tonight!
 The circle and the background design are from Melanie's Holiday Frame stamp set from 2016.  The reindeer stamp is a freebie I received as a win from Pink and Main, which I colored with Copic markers. I added a touch of DP and a gem above the sentiment.

 A good luck shamrock birthday card to share with you today.  I had a good time making this one, as these were my high school colors at St. Patrick Academy. Since I was a member of the last class to graduate before the school closed and was torn down- this is very special to me.

Sat.. 11.10.2018 Dream Big Tag

     

I was playing in my Craft Room today, doing some fussy cutting and using some very old dp, from years ago. Tags that motivated the start of this promise to myself.  It was a lot of fun just playing without having any restrictions! I am going to try and use some of the dp that has been stored for a very long time. Let's see how long I can keep doing this. This is Bella Elephant by Beth Silaika for Gina k. Designs.  I have been creating cards for a super long time now and am still enjoying the creativity!

I used stamps from Gina K Designs Festive Foliage, by Claire Brennan. Some gingham ribbon makes the perfect bow.

Thurs. 11.8.2018 Just for Fun

I whipped this one up yesterday as I was just playing around.  It was made just for fun and not for  any particular challenge.  I am extremely happy with all texture , to make this a fun Christmas card.  I love the way the all the CB Swiss Dots  reminds me of falling snow, as a background to the house.  Let me know what you think, please.

Wed. 11.7. 2018 SC 722 and Double D Wishes

This is the second card made this morning.  I will take a photo of the 1st one and add it to my blog tomorrow, since it is not for any particular challenge.

I decided to work with the Split Coast SC722 to create this Christmas card today.  I added patterned paper and twine to give a festive look, to the Holiday card. I heat embossed the sentiment from GKD (Claire Brennan)'s Noel Stamp set, along with some topaz colored gems to the bottom. This also works for the Double D Wishes challenge.

11.2.2018 Made 2 last night!

I got super creative yesterday and made two cards.  One for the MMC112018 monochrome challenge using the pinecone from the Gina K. stamp set called Festive Foliage and the other for the square NOVREL2018 challenge for STV, using the Holly Jolly snowflake with a gem in the center.

I made this Fall Thank You card for the MOD SQUAD challenge .
Autumn cards are a lot of fun for me to create.  I am so lucky to have beautiful trees out my craft window to inspire me, here in Wisconsin! CS leaves do hold up much better than ones in my yard though.

  Here is the SC719 .  I had a good time making this card as I am a big coffee drinker, so this one is also a great card for the MOD Squad Challenge.  Fall Beverage Card

The stamps are from Gina K's Perfect Blend set.  The weather is cooling quite a bit now so a warm beverage is fantastic!

I made this for the Double D Challenge- to use pumpkins. This is the one I came up with today.  The fence is from Theresa Momber's Heartfelt Stamps as was the pumpkin stamps from Gina K that I colored with Copics.  I edged my card with some dp that I have had for a very long time.

Thurs. 10.4.2018 Fall temps have Arrived

It was almost summer-like yesterday with a temp in the upper 80's and the high temp today was 57.  Brrrr.  A good day to do grocery shopping and then home to create two Fall inspired cards!
