Thurs. April 30, 2015 MFP presents Big Trees

I added a sentiment from the Hot Air Balloon set that was released last September!  The trees are so much fun to work with and you can color them if you would like.  I did on the middle one, but just used green ink to stamp the other two.  This was an easy CAS creation!

Monday, April 27, 2015 A Get Well Creation & Thought about Hawaii

This is a Get Well card that I made using the Gina K. Design's Frame and Filler set and the bird from Theresa Momber's Vertical Greeting 2 set, which I fussy cut.

I think this is so calming with the Turquoise ink and simple design.

I was playing with a couple of sets on Saturday.  One was Melanie's Triple Play and I also included some stamps from Theresa's older Aloha stamp set, to add to the port holes of Melanie's set.  It was fun creating this card, while dreaming of the tropical island of Hawaii. My uncle lived there for many years and even though he is no longer with us, I can't help to remember the Kona coffee and the Hawaiian candies he used to send us. Now I think about Rosie, my friend!

Please come back and see what I have in store for the rest of this week- from Mark's Finest Papers new Release!!! The team and I have lots to show you!

April 26, 2015 Yes, I am Grateful for you

Lots of black and turquoise to show off this gorgeous bird, from the Spring Blessings stamp set by Gina K. Designs. Everything but the piece of ribbon is from GKD.  The ovals are Spellbinder ovals, cut in my Vagabond.
The bird was stamped with Black Memento ink and colored with a Copic, and then was fussy cut.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Apr. 25, 2015 CAS ones today

Here is a CAS card, I whipped up using a stamp from the Warm Spring Wishes set from Gina K. Designs.  I used cardstock from GKD as well,  The ribbon is from my stash.

Since I was on a roll I created another one.  For this one, I used Gina's Spring Blessing set and did it in Black and white, with a touch of Cool Grey Copic on the flowers. It is amazing that such a neutral card could actually be so pretty, right?

Thanks for visiting!

April 24, 2015 Today was ...

my dad's birthday.  He would have been 89 today, but sadly he is no longer with us.  He passed about 10 years ago.  He is still in my thoughts often.

I have a card today to share with you, however. I put this together rather quickly and the bright green CS from Gina K along with GKD's stamps make me so happy.

Thank you for visiting!

4-23-2015 Tulip Thank You

I was playing around today when I created this one.  It is another card using the Elegant Florals 2 stamp set by Theresa Momber.  I popped up the focal point on pop dots over a piece of brown grosgrain ribbon. I colored the tulip with Copics, and stamped in some brown Memento brown ink to add the sentiments.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Mon. 4-20-2015 Springtime CAS Card

Here is a simple CAS card that I made the other day, using up items that were laying on my work table.  Maybe I find this easier than trying to clean and organize in the traditional way-hahaha.  Maybe I am just procrastinating a job that isn't as much fun as making these card creations!!!

So glad you stopped by to see what I have for you today!

4-19-2015 A Florida Inspired Card

I made this birthday card for my sweet, dear friend in Florida that is celebrating her birthday in July.  We used to be neighbors when our daughters were little, but she moved south to Florida.  I thought of her immediately when starting to put this card together.

I used Gina K. Designs patterned paper, CS, and a sentiment stamp from the Birthday Blessings stamp set, from a StampTV kit.

Fun and happy colors, don't you agree?

I did pop up the focal points on a CB Polka Dot embossed piece of card stock for more texture!

Thanks for stopping by today.

4-18-2015 Elegant Florals 2 for Fall

Here is as card that I made on Thursday, as I was looking towards the Fall Season, a few months away.  I used Theresa Momber's Elegant Floral 2 stamp set from Gina K. Designs.  I used Autumn colors and patterned paper as I cut out the leaves, to create the focal point.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Apr. 17, 2015 Another using Birthday Blessings

Here is one all done up in neutral colors.  Rather calm looking don't you think?

The bird image and the sentiment are from Gina K. Designs Birthday Blessings set, which I mounted on pop dots against a background that has been on my desk for ages.

Thanks for visiting, and I always love the comments you leave about my work.  It means a lot to me.

4-16-2015 Another Triple Play Frame Creation

Here is another creation using the Triple Play Frame set by Melanie Muenschinger, and Gina K Designs.  Colored with Copics and popped up a little for that 3 D effect, made for a quick Thank You note. I am happy with this rather simple card, and I think this layout is a fun one that can be adapted for many occasions!

Thanks for checking in today and I appreciate the messages you leave me!

April 14, 2015 April Showers bring.....

This is a card I made very early last Saturday morning, while hubby was still sleeping.  Tulips are very special to us since he was born in The Netherlands, and we honeymooned there, as well.
I just love this stamp by Theresa Momber, and will be using it often. Tulips come up this month, and since our anniversary and my birthday are the same day, we used real ones for our wedding!
I colored with Copic and used patterned paper from a GKD paper pack.

The front tulip was fussy cut and popped up on pop dots, for added dimension.  This card makes me so happy!
Here is another I whipped up on Monday, using GKD's Birthday Blessings stamp set.  I love having the dies to cut the bird and the leaves with my Vagabond.

 Thanks for taking a look.

4-13-2015 A Tea Bag Holder for a sweet friend

I followed the GKD .pdf file to make this, and it includes to tea bags.  A whole lot of fun to create and I can't wait until I give it to my sweet friend, A great little and easy book to make that holds the tea bags.  You can make one too!  Here is the link to the instructions: Tricia is so talented.
I hope you make one too!

These are so much fun to make I decided to make another.  For this one, I will decide on a GKD focal point soon to add to the front.

Make some of these and you will have a good time making them, and you too will find an addictive project!
This is what the inside looks like, holding two tea bags!

Apr. 12, 2015 Masculine Elegant Florals 2

Here is another card created with the Elegant Florals 2 set, with a masculine flavor.  At least I think it does! Since I kept it pretty neutral and earthy in color, it works for a guy.  Ok maybe a lady would like it too!

I am so happy that you stopped to look at my card.  I really appreciate it!

Black, white and red Challenge STV15MON14 from StampTV 4-11-2015

I used Melanie's stamp set called "Jumping for Joy".  I colored with colored pencil and stamped with Memento ink onto an oval, and backed with a newsprint that I made years ago.
This riddle reminds me of my father and the answer can either be a sunburned zebra or a newspaper.
When I was a child my dad would always ask "What is White and Black and Red (read) all over?

Thanks you for giggling along with my memory today!
