I've jumped into the land of blogs.

Thank you for stopping by and seeing my very first blog post!  A very dear friend has been urging me to start blogging and sharing my cards, so here goes!

My first card is a Christmas card using Gina K's "Buds and Vases" stamp set by Melanie Muenchinger . This is such a fun set!  I used my Cricut to make the candy canes and then stamped the jar with Stazon black ink on a piece of scrap acrylic. After cutting the jar out, I made the lid cover using Melanie's  great tutorial from her blog showing how to make the lid cover.  The sentiment is from the Gina K "Labeled with Love" stamp set.

My next card was made for the One Layer Wednesday challenge #26-to use red, white and black. I use a Nestie to trace a border around the tree image from Gina K's "Holiday Cheer" set, which was embossed with white EP. I used the Merry Christmas sentiment from Gina's "Labeled with Love" set, and then I added some faux stitching with my Inkssentials white pen.

Well, that's it for today and my first post.  I hope you will become a follower!
See you soon!

Really great job. Loved how you used the Nesties, but not for cutting! Yet another way to make the investment go further.
